How realistic do your artificial plants look?
Our plants are designed to be virtually indistinguishable from the real thing. We use premium silk, high-grade PE (polyethylene), and latex materials that replicate natural textures, colours, and even the subtle imperfections of real foliage.
Each product is hand-finished and colour-matched against real plant specimens. Many of our customers tell us that guests genuinely can't tell the difference!
What materials are used in your plants?
We use a range of premium materials depending on the product:
- Silk & fabric — for delicate flowers, garlands, and trailing vines
- PE (polyethylene) — for lifelike leaves on trees and large plants; UV-stable and long-lasting
- Latex — for ultra-realistic succulents and tropical foliage
- Natural wood & wire stems — for flexibility and authentic shape
- Weighted cement or resin bases — for stability on larger floor plants
All materials are non-toxic and rigorously tested for safety.
Are your plants safe for pets and children?
Yes — our plants are non-toxic and pet-safe. Unlike many real houseplants (such as lilies, pothos, or peace lilies), our artificial alternatives pose no ingestion risk.
We do recommend keeping larger floor plants stable and out of reach of very young children or boisterous pets, simply to prevent the plant being knocked over. The materials themselves are completely safe.
Will the colours fade over time?
Our plants are made with UV-resistant dyes and PE materials, so they're built to hold their colour. For indoor use, your plants should look vibrant for many years with minimal care.
If you're placing a plant in a very sunny spot or outdoors, we recommend choosing one from our outdoor-rated range, which has additional UV stabilisation for extended sun exposure.
Do your plants come with pots or planters?
It varies by product — each listing clearly states whether a pot or planter is included. Many of our larger floor plants come with a decorative nursery pot or a stylish cache pot, while some stems and arrangements are sold without a pot so you can choose your own.
We also stock a range of complementary pots and baskets separately if you'd like to mix and match.
Can I use your plants outdoors?
Most of our range is designed for indoor use. However, we do have a dedicated outdoor collection made with UV-stabilised PE and weather-resistant materials suitable for sheltered outdoor spaces (patios, balconies, covered porches).
We don't recommend placing standard indoor plants in direct rain or prolonged direct sunlight, as this can affect the materials over time.
How long does delivery take?
We dispatch all orders within 1–2 business days. Standard UK delivery then takes 2–4 business days. Express next-day delivery is available at checkout for orders placed before 1pm.
Once your order is dispatched, you'll receive a tracking link by email so you can follow your parcel every step of the way.
Do you offer free delivery?
Yes! We offer free standard UK delivery on all orders over £40. Orders under £40 are subject to a flat delivery fee of £3.99.
Express and next-day delivery options are available at an additional charge, shown at checkout.
Do you ship internationally?
Currently we ship to the United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, and select EU countries. International delivery times and costs are calculated at checkout based on your location.
If you're outside our current shipping zones and would like to place a large order, please contact us — we may be able to arrange a custom shipment.
Can I track my order?
Absolutely. Once your order ships, you'll receive an email with a tracking number and a direct link to follow your parcel. You can also log in to your account and view your order status at any time.
What if my order arrives damaged?
We're sorry if your order arrives damaged — this is rare but we take it very seriously. Please take a photo of the damage and contact us within 48 hours of delivery. We'll arrange a free replacement or full refund with no need to return the damaged item in most cases.
Can I change or cancel my order after placing it?
We process orders quickly, but if you need to change or cancel, please contact us as soon as possible — ideally within 1 hour of placing your order. Once an order has been dispatched, we're unable to cancel it, but you can return it under our returns policy after delivery.
How do I clean my artificial plants?
Keeping your plants looking their best is easy:
- Regular dusting — use a soft microfibre cloth or a can of compressed air to gently remove dust from leaves, working from top to bottom
- Deeper clean — lightly mist with a damp cloth or a mixture of water and a drop of washing-up liquid; wipe gently and leave to air dry
- For silk flowers — place in a bag with a handful of salt, seal and shake gently; the salt lifts dust without damaging the petals
Avoid soaking the plant or getting the base/pot wet, especially on items with paper or fabric-wrapped stems.
Do I need to water or feed artificial plants?
No — that's one of the biggest benefits! Our artificial plants require zero watering, no soil, no fertiliser, and no sunlight. They're perfect for spaces that don't get much natural light, or for people who travel frequently.
Can I reshape or reposition the branches?
Yes! Most of our plants have flexible wire stems and branches that you can gently bend and reshape to achieve your ideal look. When you first unpack your plant, the branches may be compressed from shipping — simply spread and adjust them by hand until you're happy with the shape.
How long will my artificial plant last?
With normal indoor use and basic care, our plants are built to last many years — often a decade or more. We back this up with our 2-year quality guarantee, which covers any manufacturing defects. Proper dusting and keeping them out of harsh UV exposure will significantly extend their life.
What is your returns policy?
We offer a 30-day returns policy from the date of delivery. Items must be in their original, unused condition with all packaging intact. For full details — including how to start a return — please visit our Returns & Refunds Policy page.
How do I start a return?
It's straightforward:
- Email us at hello@artificialplants.co.uk with your order number and reason for return
- We'll reply within 1 business day with a return authorisation and instructions
- Pack the item securely and ship it back to us
- Your refund is processed within 3–5 business days of us receiving the return
Who pays for return postage?
If the item is faulty, damaged, or we sent you the wrong product, we cover the return postage in full. If you're returning because you've changed your mind, a £3.99 return postage fee will be deducted from your refund.
How long does a refund take?
Once we receive your return, refunds are processed within 3–5 business days and returned to your original payment method. You'll receive a confirmation email as soon as the refund is issued. Card refunds may then take an additional 3–5 days to appear in your account depending on your bank.
Where are you based?
We're a UK-based company passionate about bringing beautiful, low-maintenance greenery into every home. Our team carefully curates and quality-checks every product in our range before it reaches you.
Are your products ethically sourced?
We take our responsibilities seriously. We work with manufacturers who meet fair labour standards, and we're continuously reviewing our supply chain. Our packaging uses recyclable and minimal materials wherever possible, and we're working towards carbon-neutral shipping.
Do you have a showroom or physical store?
We're currently online only, which lets us keep our prices competitive and our range wide. Our product photography is true-to-life and we include detailed dimensions on every listing so you can shop with confidence. Do you offer bulk or trade pricing?
